Blog & Newsletter Edits
There are few things more irritating for readers than content that is choppy or riddled with errors. With me as your editor and proofreader, we will ensure that all of the content you are releasing into the world is polished and pristine, as well as containing a graceful flow punctuated by your unique voice.
There are several different types of editors: content editors, copy editors, proofreaders, beta readers, and critique partners to name a few (for detailed descriptions of the different types of editing, check out this blog post I wrote on the subject). Each type of editing focuses on a specific area of the content at hand.
As an editor, what I look for is as follows:
Grammar, spelling, punctuation
Sentence structure and flow
By working with me, you are essentially hiring multiple types of editors in one. You don’t have to research, pay, and keep track of multiple people and then tediously combine all of the information you receive to perfect one project. You don’t have to hope that each different editor you work with takes into account your style and voice to better interpret and edit your content. My goal is to work with you long term to develop a trusted partnership in which I understand you, your style, and your mission, and work tirelessly to ensure that your content is received by your audience at its absolute highest potential. I want your message to land. I want your content to resonate. I want to clear the way of distracting errors and choppy flow so that the only thing your audience has to lay their focus on is the ways in which you are trying to reach and help them.
If you have any confusion or questions about how my editing and proofreading can be tailored to your content and your needs, always feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org before booking so that we can come up with a custom plan and you can move forward with peace of mind.
A note on blog post/newsletter editing:
I offer both one post/one newsletter and recurring options. Should you choose to book with me on a case by case basis, you’ll want to select the "one post” or “one newsletter” option. If you book on a monthly basis, you will be billed once a month for unlimited posts/newsletters per month. This means that, for $50 a month, I will edit on your content schedule. If you put out two posts a week, I will edit eight posts per month for you. If you book monthly, whether you pay with credit card or Paypal initially, I will bill you via Paypal for future months. You can cancel this subscription at any time, no strings attached. Again, for further clarity on this, feel free to reach out!
